MarioBones 4 years ago #2 Script mods would be things like Nraas' Story Progression and Master Controller mods for TS3, that add new functionality to the game with scripts (new code), non-script mods would be things like new custom content (new clothes and the like) that add new content without changing functionality. For these kind of mods, you'll still put them into your Documents Electronic Arts The Sims 4 Mods folder, but you'll also need to make sure in your game settings that you have Script Mods enabled. To do so, click on the Menu (the three buttons on the top right corner), Game Options, Other, and then tick the Script Mods Allowed button. In order to use CC, Mods, and Script Mods, you must first enable them in the game's options menu. For Script Mods to work, the first box must be checked. Read below to learn about Script Mods. So, when the new patch came out I made sure my script mods were off.I read the warning about the python update. Just today, I went to my fave script mod makers and downloaded the newest versions they had. Double checked to make sure all were claimed to work with the new update.The only Script mods I re-downloaded were. Basemental Drugs. MC Command Centre (& MC Woohoo). Nisa's Wicked Perversions. UI Cheats Extensions.
WickedWhimsEverything else was stuff I had prior to the update EXCEPT this mod I downloaded apparently used to fix the aging while in CAS. (ScarletCASAgingFIX.package)Now, I ran the game after installing there (Script Mods were not yet enabled) and it started up just fine. No issues.I enabled the script mods, exited the game and ran it up again and now it's just forever stuck on either a black screen (on full-screen) or a white screen (on windowed).So, I manually disabled script mods in the options file in the root of The Sims 4 folder. Booted it up, and still nothing. I had to verify my game files and try booting it up again before it would open up and load normally.I don't know if it's a script I have, but I never encountered this before.Anyone have any ideas as to why this could be happening?I own the following packs (Plus Get Famous and Outdoor Retreat). Okay, an update: I came home form work, started up a fresh, clean newly installed Sims 4 game with no mods, no nothing.
It booted up.I immediately went to the options and turned on the script mods, closed the game. I STILL didn't add any mods my game.
Blank screen. Won't load.Repaired my game, and still won't.I really didn't know what i did wrong since just a few days ago everything was fine up until I enabled script mods. Don't get why the game wouldn't start up after repairing and verifying the files on a un-modded game.
