Anyways, on to the documentation. Picture of my Laptop Specs: The Guide I Used I tried to install using the tonymacx86 method: and help from lifehacker: My Bios Naturally, Sony (being Sony), restricted the BIOS so you can't make any critical changes (at least on my PC). Here are some screen shots of my BIOS: As you can see, I can't really change anything in my BIOS. So, I really don't know if my system is even compatible with the MAC OS X. However, I press on. The Installation Process So here are the two install methods I tried.

Regular Iboot + Retail CD So I follow the guide and boot from Iboot, and it looks like this: I press f5 and it looks like this: I boot, and it briefly shows this error message: Then it quickly boots into this screen(for about 3 minutes): Then it goes into a black screen and crashes. Iboot Legacy + Retail CD So I follow the guide and boot from Iboot Legacy, and it looks like this: Once again, I press f5: I get the same error message as before: And it starts to load the Apple Logo Screen: EVENTUALLY it loads and I get the installer screen: I go through the basic straightforward installation and restart. I restart the computer and get this screen: I click Snow Leopard and click boot. I get the fancy video of Snow Leopard.

Then it asks for me details. (no screens needed. I already have so many Lol) I fill out all my credentials. It finally LOADS!!!! Problems I notice right off the bat: 1. If I click 'about this Mac', my system has a complete breakdown and shows just a blue screen, then reverts back to the mac screen.

So I install all of the necessary things from the lifehacker/tonymac guides, respectively including: 1. The MAC OS X 10.6.6 combo update (first) Following the guide, I did NOT reboot yet. Multibeast So I installed the latest version on Multibeast After the installations finished, I restarted. Now it was time to proceed to the next step. Other Post installation Files (according to the lifehacker guide) I moved the custom kexts to the system folder. Then proceeded to the next step.

Other custom Kexts for like ethernet and stuff. (also according to lifehacker guide) After installing the second one. My computer crashed and kernel panicked on every reboot since. My conclusion I am not sure if my inability to install the Mac os x 1.6 system on my Sony Vaio is due to my unchangeable BIOS, My lack of Mac related computer knowledge (which is why I am posting this), or just some mistake I keep making during the installation process. Either way, I would like to resolve this issue so I can move on with my life(bet most of you are thinking what life). I followed both of the guides mentioned below: and help from lifehacker: as well as the video from lifehacker. VIDEOIf you guys have any input, it would be greatly appreciated.

Just think, it took me forever to make this, and even longer trying to screw with booting hackintosh successfully.
